Our Laboratory

Our lab uses state of the art equipment to deliver the highest standards in quality for our customers. The equipment used is the latest available and ensures that jobs are dealt with both speedily and more importantly accurately.

Below are some photos taken by our lab to show some of the machinery at work producing prescription glasses of the highest quality in the fastest times possible. Our aim is to deliver our customer's glasses within 4 days. We already achieve this 90% of the time and are working towards achieving this 100% in the very near future.

Absolute accuracy in alignment is achieved using computers

From the data input, the lens is generated in a completely air tight clean environment
Once the lens has been generated it is then prepared by the smoothing machine
The lenses are polished to give a perfect crystal clear finish

Using state of the art equipment, the technician is able to position the lenses in exactly the right position for cutting
Blocking pads are attached to the lens in preperation for the cutting robot.
Lenses are then loaded into the shaping equioment and the lens shaping process begins
